Overview
AZCPAY was created to addresses the lack of trust in Nigeria's e-commerce ecosystem caused by fraudulent online transactions. Many buyers prefer "Pay-on-delivery" or avoid online shopping altogether, leading to significant revenue loss for e-commerce traders. AZCPAY offers a secure solution through escrow payments, locking funds until buyers confirm and approve the received products, ensuring trust and transparency for both parties.
The Challenge
The app faced significant usability issues, including a poor user interface, flawed information hierarchy, and an overall frustrating user experience. Additionally, the integration of a native coin system complicated transactions and needed to be removed based on user feedback.
The Solution
To create a more seamless and engaging experience, I started with in-depth research, analyzing similar platforms, mapping out user flows, and refining the information architecture. This helped me gain a clear understanding of user needs before diving into design. I then restructured the app for better navigation, ensuring users could move effortlessly through the platform. I refined the UX writing to be clearer and more helpful, making interactions feel intuitive. Removing the native coin simplified transactions, reducing complexity for users. Additionally, I introduced an escrow invoicing feature to enhance trust and security within the platform. Every decision was guided by research and a user-centered approach, resulting in a platform that is not only functional but also enjoyable to use.
The Result
I created an intuitive and engaging experience that resulted in a highly successful launch, achieving 3x user growth within a short period. By prioritizing user-centered design principles and continuously improving through feedback, we delivered an interface and features perfectly tailored to the needs of our target audience.
